I had the pleasure of playing Hopeman GC during my recent vacation in Scotland and I must say it was VERY memorable. I loved the layout of the course, the beautiful views, and the service was outstanding. My playing partner and I enjoyed a post match pint overlooking the 18th green as well as lively conversations with both Michael & Colin.

I have the 100 year anniversary book which I have since read multiple times.
I love your golf course, there is something truly magical about the area. I really look forward to returning and we have begun planning another trip to Northern Scotland in the next 2-3 years. Hopeman GC will definitely be part of our itinerary and we plan to play it again (hopefully more than once).

Golf as it should be

Since reading the book “Golf On The Rocks” I have had the ambition to travel to Hopeman. My hopes were high but they were surpassed. I can’t recall ever meeting such friendly members and the welcome from the manager was also excellent.

The course is great fun to play with the second nine a particular pleasure. The 12th is the signature hole but several others stood out. The greens were just as good as other far pricier courses in the region.

I hope that as many visiting golfers as possible add Hopeman to their list. Golf is not all about the expensive trophy courses! I will return every time I am in the area.

All our players had a great day yesterday thanks. 
Course was in great shape receiving lots of nice comments (please pass onto the green-keeping staff) although going by the scoring all of us found it rather tricky! The catering was also first class with everyone going home well watered & fed, again please pass on to staff. I am sure all our players who were in attendance will be returning in the very near future for another round or two at Hopeman and are already spreading the word about this stunning hidden gem.

Good morning,

On behalf of myself and my Vice Captains I would like to thank you and all at Hopeman Golf Club for the wonderful gesture of providing us all with the most hearty of breakfasts. I thought long and hard about where we should go in the UK to hold our meeting and it is considerate touches, like the one we experienced, that make me know I chose wisely.

Martyn and Cameron were waxing lyrical about the golf course, and when they stood on the Prieshach tee, on the most beautiful of Scottish mornings, they were simply blown away. Their welcome from you and your staff further confirmed to them that they were in a special place, and I am sure their inaugural outing to Hopeman will linger in their memories for some time.

We will encounter many challenges on our journey to retain the Llandudno Trophy and if everything is reflective of what we experienced in Hopeman, the USA Team’s journey back across the pond will not be as enjoyable as their one East.

Please pass on my very best wishes to everyone at our special Club.

Royal Dornoch Ladies’ Day Out to Hopeman 3/9/16

Hi Trevor, I would like to thank everybody at Hopeman Golf Club for making us so welcome and helping us to have a fantastic day out on Saturday.

From the moment we arrived until when we left all the staff and members could not have been more welcoming and friendly.

We all enjoyed the course and thought it was in great condition. The greens in particular were deceptively fast , really good to putt on. The views from your course are amazing and much commented on by our ladies. We all loved the signature 12 th hole. (even those who lost their golf balls ).

A huge thank you to Katie, Anthony and Stuart for looking after us so well. They were really friendly, efficient and we all enjoyed the food. The fruit sundaes were particularly spectacular.

Also thank you to Paul for running our refreshments out to the hut at the 10th green.

I thanked some of your men for being so understanding as I see you delayed the start of the midday medal for us. I don’t think we held them up but apologies if we did.

Trevor, thank you for helping me organise our day out , I really appreciate you coping with me increasing the numbers at the last minute.

So a huge thank you to you and everybody at Hopeman Golf Club from 39 very happy ladies from Dornoch.

I would like to thank all staff involved for the wonderful reception, meals and kindness extended to us all when we played your great course last Thursday.

The course was in great condition and the meals we had afterwards were equally as good, so many positive comments I have received .

Forres Golf Club

Sir/Madam,

Our course – Forres Golf Club – was closed for the last few days due to frost and snow. So our regular Sunday 4-Ball Best-Ball was played at your course – one of players is a member of your club as well as Forres.

It was winter greens and the 12th was closed – but this did not detract from the enjoyment of being out on the course in the sunshine and fresh air. What was very enjoyable was the catering in the clubhouse – bacon and egg rolls with chips – just what you need after a close match. And served with a smile!

Thank you for an excellent Sunday morning and special thanks to the three ladies who served the food and drinks in your clubhouse – great hospitality.

Brought a group of 20 golfers to hopeman yesterday. Couldn’t have been happier with how the day panned out. Catering and welcome was excellent and the course in great shape. Great value for money. Couldn’t recommend it enough.
